F.U.S.E.

Figural Understanding Sequence Examination

The F.U.S.E. is a high-range, timed assessment designed to measure advanced nonverbal reasoning, spatial visualization, and pattern recognition abilities. The test consists of 20 carefully constructed items, each requiring the examinee to identify complex relationships between visual figures and determine the correct final solution.

Every item presents a matrix composed of two rows of images. Within each problem, one row serves as the example, demonstrating the underlying transformation or logical relationship, while the second row requires the examinee to apply the same principles to determine the missing final image. Success depends on recognizing abstract visual patterns, spatial transformations, and logical rules rather than relying on language, acquired knowledge, or mathematical computation.

The examination is strictly timed, allowing a maximum of 22 minutes to complete all 20 items. The time limit is intended to assess not only accuracy but also the ability to process complex visual information efficiently under pressure.

F.U.S.E. is intended as a **high-range intelligence test** and is specifically designed for individuals with above-average cognitive ability. The level of difficulty is appropriate for **Mensa-level candidates and other high-ability populations**, featuring problems that become progressively more demanding and require increasingly sophisticated spatial and figural reasoning.

The test focuses primarily on:

F.U.S.E. is designed to provide a challenging and engaging assessment of high-level fluid intelligence while minimizing the influence of language, education, and cultural background.

The F.U.S.E. - (Figural Understanding Sequence Examination) assesses intelligence with scores ranging up to an IQ of 150. The norming data is provided in the table below.
