Word Completion and Sequences Numerical Logic

The WCSNL (Word Completion and Sequences Numerical Logic) is a timed reasoning assessment consisting of two complementary sections: verbal word-completion and numerical sequence reasoning. Across 20 items, examinees are required to identify relationships, recognize patterns, infer rules, and select the response that best completes the underlying structure.

The 10 verbal items require examinees to use vocabulary, word structure, semantic relationships, and contextual meaning to identify the word or concept that satisfies a given pattern or definition. These items are designed to assess the ability to recognize precise linguistic relationships while distinguishing between closely related alternatives.

The 10 numerical items require examinees to identify underlying rules within numerical sequences. The relationships may involve progressions, alternating operations, transformations, or other mathematical patterns. Successful performance requires the examinee to infer the governing rule from limited information and apply it accurately to determine the missing element.

By combining verbal and numerical reasoning within a single assessment, the WCSNL examines the ability to shift between different forms of abstract information and apply systematic reasoning to unfamiliar problems. The assessment emphasizes pattern discovery and logical inference rather than reliance on a single specialized area of knowledge.

The WCSNL Word Completion and Sequences Numerical Logic — is a new test. Only a raw score will be issued initially. After the norm is posted, an IQ score will be added to all prior submissions.
